Neverfail Enhances its Continuous Availability Suite

Neverfail announced major enhancements to the Neverfail Continuous Availability Product Suite. Neverfail Version 5.3 provides the richest set of application monitoring and management in the industry through its new Application Management Framework.

Neverfail’s proactive application monitoring and management now features point-and-click customization that does away with the time-consuming, cumbersome and complex scripting required by other replication products. Instead, key processes are automated as evidenced by the following new features:

• Self-tuning automatically detects and configures protection for new data locations and services in real time
• Plug-in capabilities allows adding or upgrading specific application protection “on the fly”
• Intelligent monitoring of the primary and secondary server guarantees other activities, for example rogue system processes locking access to target files, will not prevent successful data replication
• Application Intelligence provides root cause analysis and automated corrective action automatically finding and fixing issues before they cause downtime

Neverfail’s technology clones and then maintains real-time copy of all data and settings of mission-critical applications from a primary server to a secondary server to deliver high availability and disaster recovery. Business is protected as users remain connected to working applications, no matter what issue may affect the environment. Should a problem occur, Neverfail will attempt corrective action. Should this action not prove successful, seamless failover to the secondary server allows users to continue working without interruption. When the issue is resolved, Neverfail will seamlessly failback with no need for users to restart any applications. Neverfail’s Continuous Availability Suite protects the widest range of Windows-based applications including Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, File Server and IIS, as well as RIM BlackBerry, VMware VirtualCenter, IBM Lotus Domino and Captaris RightFax, as well as dozens of other applications.
