EMC Corporation announced that
Kennametal Inc.’s information technology transformation has driven the
business innovation needed to speed custom solutions to market for customers
globally.

Working with EMC Global Services, Kennametal designed and implemented a
robust, high performance and scalable information infrastructure to align IT
with its critical business applications for email, ERP, logistics, supply
chain and human resources processes. As part of its information lifecycle
management (ILM) strategy, Kennametal chose EMC Symmetrix DMX-4 and EMC
CLARiiON CX3-80 networked storage to tier its information according to the
appropriate service level and EMC Centera for its archive. To improve
productivity, increase performance and lower storage management costs,
Kennametal uses EMC ControlCenter storage resource management software.
