Neterion Appoints Veteran Ravi Chalaka as VP Marketing
He has his past assignments at NetApp, Adaptec and MaXXan Systems.

announced today that Ravi Chalaka has been appointed Vice
President of
Marketing. Chalaka brings over twenty years of corporate
and start-up
company technology marketing expertise to Neterion from
his past
assignments at NetApp, Adaptec and MaXXan Systems.
Chalaka is an established marketing leader and strategist
in developing
technologies and products for enterprise IT applications
as well as
identifying major market trends. His broad range of experience
has included
product management, product marketing, channel marketing
and strategic
planning.
During his tenure at NetApp, Chalaka was instrumental in
transforming
NetApp’s go-to-market strategy from promoting individual
products to
marketing enterprise infrastructure and application solutions.
His efforts
in marketing NetApp’s SAN solutions contributed to a 70%
growth rate for
the company in established Fibre Channel SAN and new iSCSI
SAN markets.
While at Adaptec, Chalaka managed the company’s flagship
SCSI and RAID
products that contributed to over $400M in annual revenue
and spearheaded
the company’s entry into the external storage subsystem
market.
Before joining Neterion, Chalaka served as NetApp’s Senior
Director of
Marketing for the Enterprise Data Center Solutions Group.
Prior to NetApp,
he served as Vice President of Marketing at MaXXan Systems
in San Jose that
developed Intelligent SAN switches and storage gateway systems.
Chalaka holds an MBA in Marketing from Youngstown State
University in Ohio
and an MBA in Management. He received his undergraduate
degree in Commerce
from the University of Madras, India.
