FDP offers integration with Avid Interplay as well as Workgroup 4-based systems as an option to DIVArchive CSM system
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 8, 2008 at 4:37 pmFront Porch Digital announced that it has signed a product license agreement with Avid Technology covering the integration of DIVArchive with Avid‚s market-leading workflow asset management systems, Interplay and the original Workgroup 4 Media Manager product line.
The new agreement was reached after Avid received testimonials of satisfaction from three existing Front Porch Digital customers using the company’s DIVArchive integration with Avid workflow asset management systems. "We continuously look to offer our customers the broadest possible choice in archive systems and are delighted to announce this next level in our field cooperation with Front Porch," said Sam Bogoch, director, Infrastructure Solutions at Avid Technology. "Front Porch has successfully deployed its Avid-licensed systems throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and we are pleased to work with a company that is making such a strong commitment to our industry-leading workflow products."
Front Porch Digital offers full integration with Avid Interplay as well as Workgroup 4-based systems as an option to the DIVArchive CSM system. The DIVArchive Avid interface provides easy and transparent SD and HD content storage expansion, material exchange, transcoding, and long-term archiving. Because DIVArchive provides a central storage system serving multiple post-production, newsroom, and on-air systems, customers need only a single investment in storage equipment. With its in-path transcoding support, DIVArchive allows for tapeless content sharing and exchange between different workflow "silos" in a broadcast environment.
"With more than 200 customers in more than 45 countries, including many of the world‚s leading media brands, Front Porch Digital shares many customers in common with Avid," said Front Porch Digital President and CEO Mike Knaisch. "By granting Front Porch Digital this license, Avid is recognizing the quality of the integration we offer. We believe this agreement is a new milestone on the path toward a stronger partnership for the future."
