Revinetix Upgrades RevOS

Continuing to offer the most comprehensive enterprise level backup
solutions to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), Revinetix
announces the release of its RevOS™ 2.4 data protection software
supporting SQL Server Agent for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. RevOS data
protection software is specifically designed for Revinetix’ Sentio rack
mount data protection appliance and Volo desktop data protection
appliances.

This latest capability provides more convenience to SMBs as they
can now eliminate the task of saving the SQL database to a disk for
transfer to the backup appliance and can now perform direct backups
automatically with no extra manual steps. RevOS also enables the
administrator more freedom of choice to specify and schedule the type
of backup required – full, incremental, or only new changes made to the
database.

businesses because of the licensing fees associated with many systems,”

Additional enhancements to this latest RevOS release include new capabilities for support of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007:

Enhanced archiving capability providing streamlined archiving of
all of the jobs for a specific client to help facilitate server
rebuilds from an off-site archive.
Per user e-mail notification feature that sends an alert to
either/both the workstation user and database administrator with a
status notification that the backup was successful or that it failed.
Alerts can be customized to send failure-only alerts if desired.

RevOS 2.4 is available now. For a limited time, the SQL Server
agent will be included with the purchase price of Revinetix backup
products.
