Japan. CEO: Mr. Wenxian Chen), a Japanese subsidiary of FalconStor
Software, Inc. announced today that Nomura
Research Institute, Ltd. (hereafter NRI: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Japan.
President, CEO & COO: Mr. Akihisa Fujinuma), Japan’s leading
think-tank and system integrator, has adopted the FalconStor
Virtual Tape Library (VTL) as a key component of its facilities
management system. NRI took delivery of the system earlier this month.
The introduction of the FalconStor VTL as its backup system will
increase the security of NRI’s Internet Data Center (iDC). With
centralized storage and management of access-trail information that
includes visitors’ facial photos and any baggage they are carrying, as
well as ID information and security camera footage, the VTL will
greatly improve NRI’s system management efficiency and user
browsability. NRI will officially start to run the system in February
2008.
