This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 19, 2008 at 4:47 pmVaultStor Corporation announced Ingram Micro Inc. as its first distributor in the U.S. market, supporting solution provider sales through the channel.
Facilitated by AccessChannel Partners LLC, this relationship will enable Ingram Micro to bring VaultStor vast resources in sales, marketing, and traditional solutions as well as access to a highly qualified solution provider network to address the number of complex onsite IT service needs currently being addressed in the small and mid-size market space.
VaultStor’s Disaster Recovery Vault (DRV) is the only Networked Attached Storage device successfully tested at UL and compliant with UL 72 150 1 hour (1700 degrees Fahrenheit) and water immersion to 33 feet. Unique to the Disaster Recovery market, VaultStor’s DRV maintains hard disk temperatures well below manufacturers’ maximum specifications. The DRV is designed to be compatible with existing and emerging backup and recovery software, to operate with industry standard NAS architecture and protect and secure critical and business intelligence data from offsite exposure as well as from fire and water damage.
"We are pleased to have entered into this agreement with Ingram Micro, the leading IT distributor in the world. Our research has shown that protecting sensitive data onsite, in a secure, simple, and cost effective manner, is a requirement that crosses all industry sectors and sizes," explained Tom Hanan, VaultStor’s President and Founder. "Additionally, we have found that recent changes in disclosure laws have made companies much more aware of their own risks when handing their customers’ or patients’ sensitive data to an offsite, third party. By utilizing Ingram Micro to launch our product line, our onsite DRV products will be readily available to all of our solution provider partners as a complement to their current backup solutions."
