Based on the timing of the Warner Home Video announcement today, we have decided to postpone our press conference scheduled for Sunday, January 6th at CES 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We are currently discussing the potential impact of this announcement with the other HD DVD partner companies and evaluating next steps. We believe the consumer continues to benefit from HD DVD’s commitment to quality and affordability – a bar that is critical for the mainstream success of any format.

Imagine the first question at the press conference of the HD DVD Promotion Group, if it was not canceled:
"What's your reaction following the recent decision of Warner to stop HD DVD disc production to concentrate on Blu-ray only?"
More than that, it was reported that Toshiba, the main company behind HD DVD, offered Warner some incentives to support HD DVD. But Warner refused...
Next January 8, at CES, there will be a press conference by the Blu-ray Disc Association that will be happy to be asked the same question. The answer could probably begin like that:" Excellent question Sir, ..."
