K-PAR Announces Archimedia V4.3.5 HSM Software

K-PAR Archiving Software has announced version 4.3.5 of its flagship Archimedia hierarchical storage management product for Microsoft Windows based platforms.

Archimedia provides a simple and intuitive software interface that enables centralized network management of Blu-Ray, CD, DVD, Magneto-Optical (MO), Ultra-Density Optical (UDO) and Professional Disc Data (PDD) standalone drives and automated storage libraries for desktop, workgroup and enterprise archival storage applications.

Archimedia V4.3.5 contains several important improvements over the previous version, V4.3.4, including:

* improved virtual volume management;
* support for Blu-Ray and second generation UDO
storage devices;
* increased UDF write speeds;
* and improved mixed media handling within libraries.

Archimedia V4.3.5 is available free of charge to all licensed Archimedia V4.3.x installations that have a current K-PAR support contract.
