Finam Investment Has Deployed FalconStor NSS

FalconStor Software, Inc.
announced that Finam Investment Company, a leading Russian brokerage
firm, has deployed the FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS)
solution powered by the FalconStor IPStor Enterprise Edition, to
ensure business continuity and enhanced storage performance.
Significant storage performance gains have been achieved through the
consolidation of more than 20TB of NAS and SAN data, on which more than
150 heterogeneous servers rely. The integration was undertaken by
FalconStor Solution Provider partner, MCSC Limited.
The FalconStor NSS solution generates several key tangible benefits for
Finam Investment Company, notably reduced downtime, faster recovery and
ease of use. The deployment has enabled Finam to manage a data growth
rate currently estimated at more than 2TB per month, resulting in part
from the need to retain data to comply with legislation. In addition,
the solution protects data in the event of a system crash. More than
10TB of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server data is backed up
daily using Symantec Backup Exec, from servers running VMWare ESX,
Linux or Microsoft Windows.
