NAS for SOHO Market by Buffalo

The LinkStation Pro Duo

Buffalo Technology announced the latest addition to its
LinkStation portfolio of NAS products. The
LinkStation Pro Duo (LS-W1.0TGL/R1- is designed for small office and
home userswanting a cost-effective, storage solution. The
device offers a substantial 1TB storage capacity, with RAID 0 and RAID
1 functionality options for additional security and resilience. The two
500GB drives can also be accessed remotely by users when out of the
office via any web browser. 


The large storage size and compact
design of the LinkStation Pro Duo make it ideal for the SoHo market as
a main storage device. Backups can be made via a LAN connection to
other Buffalo LinkStation devices and to external USB drives. For the
SMB market, the LinkStation Pro Duo provides an additional storage or
backup option, with easy integration into an existing network via
Active Directory. 

Buffalo’s Web Access feature allows users to
instantly and securely access all digital files stored on the
LinkStation Pro Duo, via an internet connection anywhere in the world.
The free online service also allows remote workers across different
departments in a networked office environment, or users in different
geographic regions, to retrieve data from the device, quickly and
easily.

The LinkStation Pro Duo is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista; and supports Mac OS X and Apple Bonjour. 

Backed
by a limited two-year warranty, the 1TB LinkStation Pro Duo will be
available immediately from Misco, Dabs.com, Insight, DSGi and Broadband
Buyer at an estimated street price (ex VAT) of £215, with higher
capacity versions planned for release in 2008.
