IOGEAR’s New eSATA PCI-Express Card

With IOGEAR’s comprehensive new
Serial ATA (SATA) and External SATA (eSATA) family, including PCI and
PCI-Express card adapters, enclosures and cables, consumers now have a faster,
cost-effective option for increasing their disk drive speeds.

With the ongoing rise in digital media, consumers need faster and more
efficient ways to transmit files to and from computers. IOGEAR’s new product
line provides the ideal solution, as it facilitates data transfers at speeds
up to 3 Gbps — six times quicker than USB 2.0. The SATA PCI and PCI-Express
solutions also add RAID (redundant array of independent disks) capabilities to
existing laptops and desktops, enabling data back-up and transfer performance
increases unavailable with other connections. IOGEAR’s new enclosure converts
internal SATA hard disk drives into durable external USB 2.0 or eSATA drives
that can take full advantage of the robust SATA feature set.

IOGEAR’s new eSATA family includes the RAID5 eSATA 3 Gbps External 2-port
PCI-Express Card (GICe702S3R5W6) (MSRP $46.99). Compatible with the
PCI-Express interface and effectively quadrupling the amount of available
computing bandwidth over traditional PCI, the product adds two
second-generation eSATA ports to desktop computers. It facilitates data
transfer rates at 3 Gbps and provides connectivity to external devices such as
hard, CD and DVD drives. By supporting RAID 5, 0, 1 and 10 configurations,
users can increase their computer operating performance and automatically
back-up their data. Offering a similar function, IOGEAR’s RAID5 eSATA 1.5 Gbps
External 4-port PCI Card (GIC704SR5W6) (MSRP $69.99) adds four
first-generation eSATA ports to desktop computers, enabling data transfers at
1.5 Gbps and adding RAID 5, 0, 1 and 10 capabilities.

IOGEAR’s SATA family consists of the eSATA 1.5 Gbps 1Internal + 1External
Low-Profile PCI Card (GIC711SW6) (MSRP $37.99), eSATA 3 Gbps 1-Internal and
1-External Port Low-Profile PCI Express Host Card (GICe711S3W6) (MSRP $46.99)
and SATA 3 Gbps Internal 2 Port Low-Profile PCI-Express Card (GICe720S3W6)
(MSRP $46.99), enabling users to support mobile storage accessories and
internal SATA devices, such as CD-ROMs, CD-RWs and DVD-ROMs. The
implementation of internal SATA enables smoother, lossless streaming video and
faster music sharing.

Further rounding out the product line, IOGEAR also now offers the 2.5"
eSATA 3 Gbps / USB 2.0 Combo ION Drive Enclosure (GHE7125S3W6) (MSRP $39.95)
to convert internal SATA disk drives into external USB 2.0 or eSATA hard
drives, allowing users to save data from older computers and laptops onto new
machines, as well as bring it with them when on-the-go.

Lastly, IOGEAR now provides a variety of SATA and eSATA cables, supporting
speeds between 1.5-3 Gbps and ranging in length from 1-2 meters. The entire
