Buffalo TeraStation 5000N NAS Available

Buffalo Technology Americas, Inc. announced availability of TeraStation 5000N and 5000N WSS NAS series.

TeraStation 5800N

The TeraStation family additions address business and advanced home user challenges created by today’s hyper-dependence on 24/7 data access. That always-on, always-ready demand subjects RAID storage drives to excessive strain. The TeraStation 5000N and 5000N WSS series feature NAS HDDs optimized for such systems. These HDDs also run cooler, reducing power consumption and operating costs while extending the solution’s average lifetime.

Meeting customers’ specific storage preferences, the NAS models support either the TeraStation NAS OS or Windows Storage Server 2012 R2. The TeraStation NAS system simplifies backups and sharing while Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 offers seamless integration with Windows environments and supports NTFS for very specific file-level security.

The TeraStation 5000N and 5000N WSS series, featuring 2GB and 4GB of installed DDR3 RAM respectively, are powered by the Atom processor for performance during file transfers and everyday NAS functions. The product family includes multiple options for drive quantity, capacity and form factor (both desktop and rackmount).
