Odysee Raises $750,000

Odysee, a storage agnostic technology platform for videos and photos that lets users archive, access, and share them, announced its official launch for iOS devices and that the company has secured a $750,000 angel-led seed round.

The application allows users to automatically sync videos and photos from their smartphones to their home computers, allowing them to free up space on their devices, as well as to view and share everything from any device.

Odysee will be free for the first year of service and $5 per year after the first year. The first 10,000 users who sign up for Odysee will be given the service free for life.

“Tens of millions of photos and videos taken with smartphones are used every day to capture moments and share with friends and family via social media,” says Odysee CEO and co-founder Raghavan Menon. “This leads to several problems – high resolution videos eat up phones’ storage and decrease their functionality, and there is no great place to archive them where they are still easy to access.
