New Storage Company in Stealth Mode: Verselus

Focused on HDD and SSD manufacturing processes

Verselus, LLC, based in San Francisco Bay Area, is a new storage start-up in stealth mode.

Its web site is under construction.

We only know only that it’s an automation integration company focused primarily on HDD and SSD manufacturing processes.

It filed as a Foreign in the State of California on October 31, 2013.

Chairman and CEO is Neil Brumberger, former CEO of ZT Automation, acquired by Xyratex in 2004.

The team includes president Chris Martin, who was during last ten years VP at Xyratex, definitively acquired by Seagate last April for $374 million, and where he was most recently program management, heads and media, after working at ZT Automation and ZTEK.

Comments

We could suspect that Verselus could try to compete with the new business of Seagate being especially the only independent manufacturer in the world of testing units for 3.5-inch HDDs and that was representing $122 million for Xyratex for the 9-month period ended November 2013.
