Unigen M.2 PCIe AHCI SSD Solution

Unigen Corporation has announced a M.2 PCIe SSD Gen2 x4 solution for embedded and networking applications with high performance requirements.

The solution is available in 128, 256 and 512GB capacities.

The product is designed around a multi-format flash media controller, which allows R/W capability to MLC NAND flash, providing performance and high reliability density media to store code and data.

This solution is based on the M.2 2280 B-M form factor, which operates on a 3.3V power supply. This small form factor flash module can be used for reliability storage of critical code and data, in space-constrained embedded, industrial, gaming and networking applications.

The product is compliant with PCIe Gen2 and can operate in two lane or four lane mode. It supports AHCI drivers. T

he solution features high performance throughput of up to 1,400MB/s read, and 1,000MB/s write, typical latency lower than 100μs read and 70μs write, and low power consumption of less than 1.5W idle and 6W active.

It has OS support including Windows and Linux.
