SK hynix Assigned Patent

SK hynix Inc., Gyeonggi-do, Korea, has been assigned a patent (8,904,095) developped by Kim, Young Ho, Kim Kyeong Rho, and Kwak, Jeong Soon, Icheon-si, Korea, for a “data storage device and operating method thereof ”.

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “An operating method of a data storage device including a plurality of nonvolatile memory devices includes the steps of: mapping physical addresses of the nonvolatile memory devices into logical addresses; reflecting environmental factors to remap a physical address into a logical address requested to be accessed; and performing an interleaving operation for the nonvolatile memory devices using the remapped physical address. “

The patent application was filed on September 3, 2012(13/602,227 ).
