Platinum Support Option for Violin Memory Flash Storage Platform

Including FSP 7650 and 7450

Violin Memory, Inc. affirmed its customer first approach to all flash storage solutions for enterprise data centers by announcing a new Platinum level support option for Flash Storage Platform (FSP) and Violin Customer First Guarantees.

Both are available with all FSP solutions, including the FSP 7650 and 7450 all flash arrays leverage the all flash storage platform that includes a suite of integrated data services, across all arrays, in a single native OS, giving combination of low latency, affordability, density, scalability, and performance.

Platinum Support Service
Platinum Support Service offers customers a more personalized and proactive support experience for their mission critical data center environment.

It builds on Violin’s enterprise Gold Support Service, which provides customers peace of mind that any incidents will be resolved with Violin experts around the clock. The company will have a trained technician onsite within four hours to replace any part. Tapping into Violin’s CallHome technology, Violin Support watches over customer critical storage infrastructure with event notification and proactive case creation.

Platinum Support helps customers keep their storage arrays optimized to prevent issues occurring. Recognizing the Flash Storage Platform is designed for the most business critical environments, Platinum Support enables customers to get the most value out of their investment through assigned experts and proactive planning.

Customers have a direct line into support staff for expert level troubleshooting to resolve any issues. Violin performs health checks twice a year and implements recommendations to keep the array running in optimum condition. Customers are assigned a service account manager to guide best practices and plan upgrades.

Customer First Guarantees
Violin customers that choose the Platinum or Gold level premium support package for their FSP solutions will benefit from five service level assurances, called the ‘Violin Customer First Guarantees.’

  • Effective Capacity Guarantee: Customers take advantage of FSP data reduction technologies achieve the capacity ratio promised for their workloads.
  • HA Guarantee: Using the FSP 7700 with Stretch Cluster will achieve 99.9999% (six 9’s) uptime, virtually eliminating storage access interruptions and unplanned downtime.
  • Service Pricing Guarantee: Pricing will not increase when customers choose to renew support agreements for FSP solutions.
  • Flash Endurance Guarantee: Customers will have flash memory available during the usable life of their FSP solution, with Violin providing flash modules if they wear out.
  • Scalable Capacity Guarantee: Customers can purchase capacity as it is consumed, with capacity appearing instantly and non-disruptively, over the life of their FSP solution.
