OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD

Other World Computing (OWC) announced its Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSD at NAB 2015.

Officially certified by Blackmagic Design Pty. Ltd., one provider of creative video capture and post production editing products, Mercury Extreme Pro drives are certified for use with HyperDeck Studio HyperDeck Shuttle, and MultiDock, as well as its Production Camera 4K and Cinema Cameras.

The Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSDs maximizes the potential of Blackmagic devices, allowing filmmakers to achieve high level of professional digital video available. Since it is designed to operate at peak performance working with uncompressed video, Blackmagic users will find they can edit content straight from the Extreme Pro 6G, expediting the creator’s workflow.

Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSDs are not only for Blackmagic devices, but are for any Mac or PC with a SATA connection. With up to 480GB of high-performance capacity and sustained speeds up to 559MB/s, they are for transfer of professional audio, video, photography, and graphic production.

Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SSDs come with a 7mm to 9.5mm adapter / spacer for installations that require a 9.5mm drive height. The drives are backed by 5-year limited warranty and US-based technical support.
