Netlist Introduces High-Speed EXPRESSvaultEV3 PCIe 3.0 NVRAM for Enterprise

Netlist, Inc. announced its EXPRESSvault EV3 PCIe 3.0 Non-Volatile RAM (NVRAM), a product in its NVvault family.

The EXPRESSvault EV3 family is a fast storage class memory tier designed to accelerate mission critical applications in scale-out storage, all-flash arrays, database systems, distributed file systems, and server-side caching. The product can be used as both a block storage device for efficient DMA transactions and a persistent memory extension mapped directly to the host. In addition, it can be applied to storage systems using inline deduplication and compression, encryption, indexing and mapping.

EXPRESSvault EV3 is the latest enterprise product from Netlist, based on the industry-standard PCIe 3.0 interface to enable plug-and-play PCIe connectivity. It combines the high speed and endurance of DRAM with the non-volatility of MLC NAND flash to deliver sustainable performance of more than 400,00 I/Os with sub-microsecond latency-performance far superior than today’s fastest SSD. EXPRESSvault is a match for server and storage solutions in next-generation data centers for cloud computing that integrate IBM Power or Haswell/Broadwell CPUs and SAS and PCIe SSD products.
