IBM System Storage DCS3700 drive features deliver high-performance alternatives and T10 Protection Information integrity – AAS

It now offers 400GB and 800GB 2.5-inch SAS SSDs with 6Gg SAS interfaces. These new SSD options deliver T10 Protection Information (PI) data integrity.

DCS3700 also offers support for the 1.2TB 10,000 rpm 6Gb SAS 2.5-inch drives with T10 PI functionality. This drive is an alternative for customers looking for high-capacity performance.

It offers support for SSDs and HDDs with 6Gb SAS through following options:

• 400GB 2.5 inch 6Gb SAS PI SSD
• 800GB 2.5 inch 6Gb SAS PI SSD
• 1.2TB 10,000rpm 6Gb SAS 2.5 inch PI HDD – 10 Pack
• 1.2TB 10,000rpm 6Gb SAS 2.5 inch PI HDD

Key prerequisites
These new SSD options are supported on their respective controllers and expansion enclosures, and require Controller Firmware (CFW) version 7.86.

The new 1.2TB 2.5-inch drive is supported on DCS3700 controller and expansion units. The T10 PI functionality requires CFW version 7.86.
