Vembu BDR V3.0 Universal Backup Solution

With this edition, BDR v3.0 comes with two proprietary drivers for high speed VMware, Hyper V and disk image backups with promised RTOs of less than a minute. IT Administrators managing physical, virtual or hybrid data centers can take advantage of this software to enhance the backup process of their systems and servers.

Using a scalable, proprietary file system called HIVE, IT managers are able to have storage efficient backups and maximized performance for backup and DR. For BC challenges in an hybrid environment, Vembu provides complete DR care for entire infrastructures.

For VMware Admins, VM Power Replication provides a failover for VMs on a DR host if any application or VM has completely crashed. For HA of data/machine, the VM can be spun off on any of the hypervisors, DR ESXi host or on Vembu’s cloud. For Virtualization admins managing Hyper-V or Xenservers, Vembu provides a proprietary driver-SiP for tracking the changed blocks (Hyper-V CBT) for every successive incremental backup which ultimately provides storage efficiency thereby reducing annual maintenance costs. In the event of any VM collapse, that particular machine can be booted over a hypervisor of choice.

Entire physical infrastructures can be protected in a single stroke using BDR v3.0 for disk image backups. By default, Vembu stores the backed up data with synthetic merge technology which lets system administrators boot a machine at any point of time on the event of a disaster.

With offsite data copy, BDR v3.0 provides an availability suite for business data by storing it both on-premise as well as transferring the data to Vembu’s secure cloud server hosted on AWS. This enables entire infrastructures to be rebuilt in no time if a disaster strikes.
