BridgeHead Software, Ltd, in healthcare data management, announced its RAPid Protect Service, a Software as a Service (SaaS) offering that enables smaller healthcare facilities to make improvements to their data protection strategies and methods without incurring a high up-front cost.

For a moderate monthly fee, it provides the software and services needed to protect a hospital’s enterprise data.
 
Using both backup and archiving techniques as required, ite ensures that all selected data is protected while also providing ongoing day-to-day care and feeding of the solution once it’s running.

RAPid Protect is sold using a capacity model based on the number of terabytes that need protecting. Starting at 2TB, capacity can be added in 2TB increments. In addition to general protection of all data an additional DICOM image archiving (VNA) module can also be purchased as part of the solution.
