Tony Martin UK and Ireland MD, FalconStor

FalconStor Software Inc. announced the appointment of Tony Martin as UK and Ireland MD.

This appointment highlights FalconStor’s focus on accelerating its position as a storage innovator in the region.
 
With experience in software development and sales, Martin joins FalconStor having previously spent time as SVP EMEA channels at CA Technologies and, most recently, as VP EMEA at Progress Software. He has also held the positions of director at Advanced Legal Solutions Limited and MD at Computer Associates UK.

One of Martin’s key responsibilities will be rolling out the company’s software-defined storage platform, FreeStor. It’s a truly-horizontal converged data services platform, unlocks a new world of storage opportunities, allowing IT managers, MSPs and CSPs to maximise efficiencies and lower costs while taking advantage of the public cloud, hybrid cloud, flash storage and software-defined storage.  FalconStor’s Intelligent Abstraction approach delivers access and unified data services across entire storage infrastructures without having to invest in new technology, or rip and replace existing platforms. Always-on availability and continuity keep businesses running while enabling them to move, synchronise and protect data seamlessly across virtual and physical storage platforms.
