Said Ouissal SVP, Product Management and Strategy, Violin Memory

Former Juniper and Ericsson VP

Violin Memory, Inc. announced the appointment of Said Ouissal as SVP of product management and strategy.

He will report to Kevin DeNuccio, president and CEO.

Ouissal has an established track record in both hardware and software product management for global networking companies, as well as experience helping companies set corporate strategy and direction while defining new, potential areas for business growth. In his new role, his responsibilities will include overseeing all product management, as well as helping to manage future R&D investments to optimize short term and long term goals to grow revenue and build competitive sustainable product advantages.

violin,ouissal Most recently, Ouissal served as VP, product management for Juniper Networks where he drove the product management efforts supporting Junos, Juniper’s OS, as well as the portfolio management for all of Juniper’s routing and switching products. Prior to Juniper he held the position of VP, strategy and customer engagement at Ericsson where he was responsible for portfolio strategy, field enablement and sales support for Ericsson’s IP and broadband products. Before joining Ericsson, he held the position of director and VP, systems engineering for Redback Networks, Inc. for seven years, where he lead a team of technical pre-sales staff that helped the company triple its revenue.

Ouissal holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He also invented two IP networking technologies and speaks five languages.
