CTO Zining Wu to Leave Marvell

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 7, 2016 at 3:02 pmIn a SEC filing dated August 28, 2016, Marvell Technology Group Ltd. stated that Dr. Zining Wu, CTO, notified the company of his decision to leave Marvell.
His resignation as an employee and a named executive officer will be effective as of September 9, 2016.
In order to accommodate an orderly transition of his responsibilities, he has agreed to assist the company in a consulting capacity at a mutually agreed upon rate.
Zining, who joined Marvell in 1999, is an innovator with more than 280 patents to his name. Before becoming CTO, he led the engineering groups responsible for developing products in the storage and wireless markets. Under his leadership, both of these organizations achieved a number of technological breakthroughs to increase the performance, scalability and reliability of SSD controllers for cloud computing data centers, as well as for wireless chips.
He earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing.
