Virtacore in Partnership With MSP CoreBTS

Virtacore Systems, Inc., a cloud service provider specializing in virtual Infrastructure as a Service solutions utilizing VMware, Inc., unveils a strategic partnership with CoreBTS, a provider of managed services including network operation and data security.

Virtacore provides cloud backup and assistance with DR planning to its valued customers – the company was one of only two domestic cloud service providers with zero downtime in 2014. It offers both IaaS and VMware-based cloud hosting solutions to meet clients’ needs. With locations at Equinix data centers stationed in Ashburn, VA, and Chicago, IL, It has been in the cloud services business since 2009.

CoreBTS brings another element to the table. As a MSP, CoreBTS runs additional assets, such as network operation center and security operation center services, which should prove invaluable to Virtacore clients moving forward.

“We had a multitude of choices when looking for a partner in the Infrastructure as a Service space. Virtacore just fit,” said Rick Rothenberger, national director of cloud and managed services, CoreBTS. “They use reference architecture for their systems infrastructure such as Cisco UCS, Nimble Storage and VMware. CoreBTS are experts within those technologies.

“Also, Virtacore’s willingness to be flexible is a key to our success, as our customer base is varied across multiple verticals. For example, some of our customers are running Oracle, and a few are using open-source technologies. Our customers’ success depends on our flexibility, adaptability and resourcefulness.”

For CoreBTS, it was a strategic decision to team with Virtacore. The company wanted to make sure that it could provide an IaaS solution that would allow existing customers to scale their services while keeping their applications highly available. Combining CoreBTS, Virtacore and Equinix into one unified solution does this perfectly.
