vCompute Partners With R Systems

Virtual Compute Corporation (vCompute) has completed a partnership agreement with R Systems NA Inc. to host additional HPC and cloud infrastructure in the Houston vCompute data center facility.

This high density, non-blocking IB configuration allows vCompute clients to benefit from the power of HPC services and deliver reliable and powerful commercial IT, HPC and cloud solutions to their end users.

These systems consist of thousands of Sandy Bridge cores and robust storage with IB and extreme data networking. This configuration is perfect for many fields that have massive computational needs such as seismic data processing, molecular modeling, manufacturing simulations, financial modeling, bioinformatics, climatic modeling, medical research, software development and many others. It also provides secure customizable private cloud capabilities to accommodate clients that want to setup their own cloud to provide specific services.

This partnership agreement along with vCompute’s current baseline of compute increases the total compute capacity to over 10,000 cores.
