SEP Software Becoming Partner of Oracle

SEP Software Corp., in backup and DR solutions, announced it has achieved Gold Partner status in Oracle’s PartnerNetwork (OPN).

By attaining Gold Level membership, Oracle has recognized SEP for its commitment to deliver a performing backup and DR solutions and for addressing the challenges of joint Oracle/SEP customers.

SEP’s backup product, sesam, is compatible with Oracle Database and communicates directly with RMAN to ensure fast and accurate backups. Because of the way sesam communicates with RMAN, backup windows and storage space requirements are decreased. In larger deployments, this can  save SEP customers precious time and decrease hardware costs.

Suited for the enterprise space, backup strategies can be created to match the needs of the individual institution. sesam’s intuitive GUI allows system administrators to access and control their backup infrastructure from virtually any location and manage data across the globe. sesam uses its patented Multi-Streaming Technology to facilitate unlimited simultaneous streams to provide performance in the backup market segment.
