Northern Adds Hitachi NAS Support

Northern Parklife, Inc., the founder of User Data Management (UDM) – helping organizations gain insight into and control over user-generated data, announces that Northern Storage Suite is integrated with the Hitachi Data Systems Hitachi Unified NAS file filtering feature of HNAS 12.3.

A large North American financial institution was the driving force to initiate the work to integrate Northern Storage Suite and HDS HNAS. This organization decided for Hitachi’s HNAS platform and concluded that Northern Storage Suite was the best User Data Management solution to meet their needs. Working together, Northern and HDS have satisfied the customer’s need by integrating Northern Storage Suite with the HNAS file filtering feature. Beyond the previously available UDM capabilities of Northern, this allows NSS to operate fail-open quota locking and file-blocking functionalities.
