eFolder Partners With Dell

eFolder Inc., a supplier of BC and cloud file sync services for the IT channel, announced a technology partnership with Dell, Inc. and availability of eFolder DRaaS (DR as a Service), a service that replicates Dell AppAssure backup images to the eFolder Cloud.

eFolder DRaaS gives Dell AppAssure customers additional cloud recovery options in the event of a server failure or site-wide disaster, helping them minimize the risk and cost of downtime.

Dell AppAssure is an image-based backup and DR (BDR) software designed for virtual, physical, and cloud infrastructures. eFolder DRaaS is a cloud replication and DR service for Dell AppAssure backup images.

AppAssure customers that add eFolder DRaaS to their new or existing AppAssure deployment will take advantage of:

• Replication of Dell AppAssure backup images to the eFolder cloud for total infrastructure protection
• Multiple recovery options, including cloud-based recovery, minimizing downtime in the event of an everyday or site-wide disaster
• Compliant data centers and military-grade security, exceeding industry standards
  

Thousands of companies around on the world depend on Dell AppAssure and eFolder DRaaS as a DR solution. The release of eFolder DRaaS further establishes eFolder as a cloud replication and DR provider for Dell BC products.

eFolder first announced a technology partnership with Dell in 2012 to offer eFolder BDR for AppAssure, a DR service for Dell AppAssure backup images that is sold by eFolder exclusively to IT service providers. eFolder BDR for AppAssure continues to be available to Dell and eFolder partners that utilize a managed services business model.

eFolder and Dell executives both lauded the solution as one that delivers significant benefit to customers.
