Atto and Infortrend Partner

ATTO Technology, Inc. announced a complete joint FC SAN connectivity solution with Infortrend Technology Inc., in RAID storage solutions.

The solution includes ATTO’s Celerity16Gb FC HBAs, Thunderbolt2 enabled Thunderlink Desklink Devices and FibreConnect switches, which have now been certified with Infortrend’s EonStor DS storage systems. This performance makes the editorial process easier, faster and more cost effective.

Celerity FC HBAs with MultiPath Director provide redundant connectivity for workstation and server applications to EonStor DS storage. The only storage connectivity solution that lets users manage multiple paths between Mac and Windows hosts and high-end storage systems, MultiPath Director enables streamlined user workflows and the protection of digital assets via reliable data transfers. FibreConnect switches provide flexibility, simplicity and enterprise functionality for small to mid-range SAN.

Rounding out the solution is the addition of Thunderbolt 2 technology which brings performance connectivity for workbooks, laptops and all-in-ones to the centralized EonStor DS storage pool. Thunderbolt-enabled Desklink Devices convert the Thunderbolt protocol to FC, establishing integration of these mobile computer platforms into the existing FC SAN.
