Atlantik Elektronik Distributor of Flexxon NAND Flash Storage Solutions

FLEXXON Global Ltd., a provider of NAND flash storage solutions, and Atlantik Elektronik GmbH, provider of solutions, have signed a distribution agreement for the Middle European, Eastern European, Scandinavian and Turkish market.

This cooperation will market SSD, SATA/PATA flash modules, USB flash drives, and Micro SD/SD as well as CF cards.

FLEXXON´s focus lies on industrial applications, such as scales, automated teller machines (ATMs), POS systems, kiosk systems, etc. Furthermore, this agreement also enables to address the medical and automotive markets.

The FLEXXON products are characterized by long-term availability, customized solutions (e.g. fixed BOM), memory sizes as well as an industrial temperature range.

With the use of pseudo SLC technology (pSLC), FLEXXON has achieved better performance of an MLC, based on NAND flash memory (factor >10 at W/R speed).

FLEXXON especially focus on a solution based on a robust and reliable NAND flash controller firmware.

Due to the reliability in the field operation (MTBF > 2 million hours) in an industrial environment, a long-term availability up to 5 years in a rather fast-moving storage market (typical product cycles < 1 year), customized solutions (fixed BOM, special memory sizes), HW and FW design appropriate to industrial standards (IPC-600 CLS and IPC-610 CLS), FLEXXON NAND-Flash memory modules are suitable for these markets.

In industrial applications, such as ATMs, kiosk systems, POS systems or scales where SSDs are increasingly applied, Atlantik can also offer other components such as displays, modules for the connection to the internet, up to autonomous wireless routers for data transmission.
