Angelbird and Accusys in Partnership

Angelbird Technologies GmbH, a manufacturer of SSDs, and Accusys Storage Ltd., a provider of PCIe RAID products, jointly announced an extended strategic partnership pairing the Accusys ExaSAN 8-bay PCIe 3.0 compact storage (Model B08S3-PS) and 8-bay PCIe 3.0 desktop storage (Model A08S3-PS) with Angelbird SSD options.

The new ExaSAN B08S3-PS RAID storage system is a performer on 4K workflows. It takes advantage of the PCIe protocol throughout the storage path and can copy a 1TB file in 12 minutes.

Specially configured with 8 ED361 SSD drives, the system delivers performance greater than 1,80 MB/s, more than twice the speed of Thunderbolt. And it’s no longer necessary to adapt compressed video files for viewing or editing, as these drives deliver incredibly fast transactional performance whether files are compressed or uncompressed.
