To further the adoption of Emerald, SNIA is announcing the Emerald Recognized Tester Program (RTP), and designating the test lab to qualify. RTP recognizes organizations that offer testing services by their demonstration of competency in performing repeatable Emerald specification test methods, procedures, and results.

Upon review of the assessment process and results, the applicant is awarded recognition as a Emerald Recognized Tester and listed on the Emerald Recognized Tester Program website.
The program serves the global ecosysof storage industry test labs, safety and environmental testing labs involved in Energy Star testing, and storage product manufacturers/testing labs seeking industry lab testing services.
“The new SNIA Emerald Recognized Testing Program will benefit storage product manufaturers with available services to augmnt their in-house regulatory testing and compliance staff as they increase their energy efficiency product testing and planned test submissions to the SNIA Emerald Program and the EPA ENEGY STAR storage Program,” said Wayne M.
