R1Soft Customers Embrace Acquisition by Continuum

Continuum Managed Services LLC, channel-exclusive provider of integrated managed IT services solutions, has received overwhelming support from R1Soft‘s customers for its recent acquisition of R1Soft Server Backup Manager from Idera.

More than 2,500 cloud infrastructure providers currently use R1Soft SBM to protect more than 300,000 servers worldwide, making it one of the leading commercial backup software for web hosting providers.

The R1Soft SBM acquisition directly answers Continuum partners’ demand for a robust cloud-based backup solution. It brings an offering from R1Soft for its fast, scalable and affordable server backup software for both Windows and Linux platforms in private and public clouds. Continuum is currently readying various options of R1Soft SBM for partners to extend and enhance their portfolios.

Moving forward with a focus on delivering for R1Soft customers, Continuum unveiled the first major product release since the acquisition, Server Backup Manager 5.8. Key product enhancements include Amazon Glacier support for offsite storage of Disk Safe replicas, UEFI/GPT support/Backup and BMR UEFI/GPT partitions, XFS bare metal recovery support and API enhancements.
