Data Strategy Completes Acquisition of Network Storage

In protection, availability, storage, security and virtualization

Data Strategy, LLC has completed an acquisition of Network Storage, Inc., a move that solidifies data strategy as one of the Midwest’s leading providers of data center technologies, security, mobility, and cloud computing solutions.

As a result of the acquisition, Data Strategy will leverage its expanded regional footprint toward job creation and service integration, much of it in the Indianapolis and Louisville metro areas.

With a combined workforce of nearly 100 full-time employees, the new entity will be headquartered at Data Strategy’s current base in Grand Rapids. Expanded markets include Detroit, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis HQs of Network Storage will serve as a regional hub.

For Data Strategy, the acquisition made sense given the complementary nature of entities’ solutions, markets, and core values. Current and prospective clients will benefit from a one-stop approach to meeting technology needs end-to-end; local business communities will benefit from increased investment in capital and people.

As we continue to solidify our position as a growing player in the Midwest, we expect to add 10 to 15 jobs in the next 12 months and expect to make sizeable capital investments in our local organizations,” said Dana Jacks, EVP, Data Strategy.

The transaction will improve the group’s logistical capabilities while creating a more robust portfolio of products, services and solutions.

Officials from both companies noted that the deal will strengthen their affiliation with vendor partners, such as EMC, Cisco, VMware, and HP. Building scale with vendor partners will allow greater efficiencies, improved pricing, and increased services to be passed along to clients of Data Strategy.

Data Strategy was an ideal partner for us,” said Mark Graham, co-principal, Network Storage. “We’ll now be able to go to our current or potential customers and provide more solutions and capabilities. This is a positive move for customers and the market.

With the sale complete, Data Strategyy will work to ensure a smooth transition of Network Storage’s clients and employees.

Jacks commented that it will be business as usual for the remainder of 2014.
