Automated HealthCare Solutions Acquired SolidFire All-Flash Scale-Out Platform

SolidFire, Inc., announced that Automated HealthCare Solutions, Inc. (AHCS), provider of solutions for healthcare providers, has deployed its all-flash scale-out platform to consolidate and deliver predictable performance to its I/O intensive applications.

Operating in 42 states in the US, AHCS provides a next-generation technology platform for hospitals and healthcare centers to manage the array of services they offer. It delivers solutions that simplify physician dispensing and inventory management, while streamlining automated claims and customer relationship management. Driven by a series of MS SQL databases, AHCS selected SolidFire due to the platform’s ability to deliver guaranteed storage performance and low latency to their critical applications. In addition, AHCS was also looking to reduce its management overhead and complexity by consolidating its user acceptance, pre-production, production, demo and staging environments onto a single storage platform.

AHCS provides infrastructure and administration solutions that integrate into existing physician and administrative staff workflows, enabling doctors and hospitals to focus on patient care rather than billing, accounts payable and back-end IT.

ezVerify & Validate, LLC , one of AHCS’s newest solutions, is used by providers, hospitals, institutions and insurance companies to provide insurance verification. Since verification needs to happen instantaneously, application performance and system uptime are critical. However, AHCS found its legacy storage system struggling to keep up with the real-time performance demands and the rapid expansion of the ezVerify service and other applications. Performance, speed and efficiency were key, and AHCS realized that a traditional scale-up configuration wasn’t going to meet its needs.
