Lower Pricing for Zadara Virtual Private Storage Array

Zadara Storage, Inc., provider of enterprise cloud storage as a service (STaaS) solutions, announced lower pricing for its Virtual Private Storage Array (VPSA) offering that is available worldwide in ten locations across seven countries on 4 continents, at Amazon Web Services, Inc., Dimension Data plc, Equinix, Inc., CloudSigma AG, Vivavo, Inc., KVH, CoreSite Reality Corporation, SerenitaaS, and more partner data centers.

The per-drive pricing in Zadara’s VPSA offering was reduced by as much as 51%, depending on drive type. Zadara also announced that its Enterprise Suite of high-end features is included with each VPSA at no additional cost.

At a time of increasing hardware performance with decreasing costs, Zadara’s enterprise storage continues to provide IT managers with value and access to what remains the industry’s only capabilities for many critical features for enterprise applications to migrate off premises and into cloud deployments, whether public, hybrid or private.

Concomitant price decreases will be delivered across the board in all geographies. Hallmark Zadara capabilities for such enterprise requirements as clustering, global asynchronous replication, and NFS and CIFS file sharing, are still a part of the VPSA service – and a major reason why so many accounts to date have moved mission-critical storage applications to Zadara’s enterprise STaaS offering.

Zadara’s Virtual Private Storage Array is collocated at partners’ facilities and connected to compute resources via high speed fiber lines. Drives are private and not shared so Zadara users can obtain single-tenant performance at multi-tenant prices and avoid the ‘noisy neighbor’ problem (which occurs in competing services when other customers degrade storage performance). Expansion to more drives, or switching from disks to SSDs, is as simple as clicking a button on the dedicated online management interface provided to each customer. At any time Zadara users can also eliminate drives, adjust controller performance, and fine tune other storage needs on the fly – allowing agility and control in a flexible, pay-as-you-go model.
