This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 20, 2016 at 3:05 pmExaGrid Systems, Inc. is continuing its growth in the disk-based backup storage market with record revenue in Q2 2016.
ExaGrid grew revenue with double-digit growth over the same quarter a year ago, making it the best revenue quarter in the company’s history and the company’s tenth consecutive cash positive quarter.
The company also booked a record number of six-figure new customer opportunities as the company continues to push further up market into the enterprise.
“ExaGrid is cotinuing to grow faster than the overall disk-based backup market and as a result is growing its market share position,” said Bill Andrews, CEO, ExaGrid. “ExaGrid believes it is the only storage company that is growing at a double-digit rate while maintaining a cash positive position quarter after quarter. ExaGrid’s systems scale to a one petabyte full backup in a single scale-out GRID with an ingest rate of 200TB/hr. while delivering the fastest restores and VM boots due to its unique landing zone and scale-out architecture. As a result, ExaGrid is replacing larger EMC Data Domain installations at an increasing rate.“
In Q2 2016, ExaGrid booked a record number of six-figure new customer opportunities as ExaGrid continues to push further up market into the enterprise.
In larger data centers, firm’s scale-out architecture and landing zone shorten backup windows due to an ingest rate that is three times faster than that of its closest competitor and can restore a backup, boot a VM, or make an offsite tape copy up to ten times faster.
ExaGrid also announced following quarterly milestones:
- Awarded best Value for the Money product of the year by Storage magazine
- Go-to-market field events with Veeam, Nimble Storage and Zerto
“ExaGrid is the only company in the space that assigns level 2 support technicians to customers so that each customer deals with the same senior support person all the time. Customers rave about our support model,” said Andrews. “As a result, ExaGrid saw a record number of repeat order bookings in Q2 2016 as customers continue to expand their ExaGrid footprint.”
