Nakivo Grows 2014 Revenue by 193% in EMEA

Representing 64% of global sales

Nakivo Inc. announced year-over-year growth results for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

In 2014, the total revenue in the EMEA region grew by 193%, while the number of new customers has increased by 172% compared to 2013.

In 2014, Nakivo has achieved following results in EMEA region:

Revenue
Nakivo continues to demonstrate rapid customer adoption and fast pace growth in the EMEA region: Most of the company’s revenue (64%) came from the EMEA region in 2014, as cloud service providers, enterprises, and SMBs searched for fast, reliable, and affordable VMware and cloud backup software. The year-over-year revenue growth in 2014 vs. 2013 has increased by 193% in the region.

Customers
In 2014, the company has gained most of its customers from the EMEA region (58%). Through channel partners the company has won customers, for the first time in 14 countries: Croatia, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Greece, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria, Mozambique, Namibia, and increased the number of customers in 18 countries: Sweden, Denmark, Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey, Cyprus, Finland, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Ireland, Slovenia, Spain, Belgium, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, and South Africa.

Solution partners
The firm has increased the number of solution providers in the EMEA region by 61% in 2014 vs. 2013. Over 450 VMware solution providers are offering its products to their enterprise and SMB customers in the EMEA region. In 2014, Nakivo has further its global presence by signing distribution agreements with the software distributors in the region, including Arrow (Europe) and Real Security (Adriatic Region).

Cloud providers
Nakivo continues to grow its cloud provider ecosystem: over 33 VMware service providers have joined Cloud Provider program in the EMEA region in 2014 and deliver VM Backup-as-a-Service, VM Replication-as-a-Service, and VM Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service to their customers using Nakivo Backup & Replication. For example, the company has enabled eLogic Srl, an Internet and cloud services provider in Italy to deliver VM Backup-as-a-Service to clients while improving VM recovery time by 10X. Additionally Nakivo has also saved Systemec BV more than 20% in operational data protection and cloud services costs by enabling its users to manage VMware VM backups themselves with multi-tenancy and self-service.

During 2014, Nakivo has released following four product:

  • v5 featuring Flash VM Boot, which provides the ability to boot VMware VMs directly from compressed and deduplicated VM backups without rehydration or recovering the entire VMs first

  • v4.1 featuring integration kit, call home, and support for datastore clusters

  • v4.0 featuring instant object recovery for Exchange, Exchange logs truncation, and backup verification

  • v3.9 featuring multi tenancy, self-service, dynamic license allocation, GFS backup retention, and improved job scheduler
