Business Amtek Engineering posts net profit of $13m for 1Q
Although the Mass Storage sector was beginning to show signs of recovery from the previous year's weakness at the beginning of 1QFY12, the industry is now severely impacted by the floods in Thailand as many critical parts and components for Mass Storage products are produced in parts of that country which are inundated by floodwaters. While the Group does not have significant operations in Thailand, some of the group's other South East Asia customers also have operations in Thailand.
