Smart IOPS Certified for Gigabyte Rack Servers

With Data Engine PCIe NVMe enterprise SSDs

Smart IOPS, Inc. a flash storage solution provider, announced that its Data Engine PCIe NVMe enterprise SSDs have been certified to support  GIGA-BYTE Technology Co., Ltd.’s rack servers.

Gigabyte is introducing a series of enterprise rack servers that target the enterprise compute and software-defined storage (SDS) tier that pools server direct-attached SSDs to create a shared storage, optimized for the virtual infrastructure.

Gigabyte servers are designed to handle the most demanding data center applications with optimal efficiency and availability. The Data Engine SSDs integrated into these servers offer compelling customer benefits, including higher performance and availability, as well as more compelling TCO economics,” said Etay Lee, GM, Gigabyte. “We have joined forces with Smart IO/s to do the certification work upfront, in order to enable our customers to deploy systems confidently; and reduce time and resources required to scale their infrastructure.”

The addition of Smart IOPS Data Engine enterprise NVMe SSDs as a pre-integrated option enables performance and scalability, while maximizing I/O and storage bandwidth for mixed use workloads. Gigabyte’s powerful and reliable rack servers combined with Smart IO/s’ SSDs reset the standard for performance, efficiency and sheer storage bandwidth across the demanding enterprise infrastructure.

Smart IOPS’ game changing enterprise NVMe SSD offerings center around high performance, reliability and response time, and the certification of our SSDs in Gigabyte Rack servers is representative of our continued commitment to quality assurance,” said Ashutosh Das, CEO, Smart IOPS. “Data Engine NVMe SSDs, powered by Smart IOPS’ patented TruRandom technology are increasingly gaining traction with server and storage OEMs due to their cost-effective $/IO/s and high-performance architecture that enables end user customers to confidently deliver storage performance to meet business needs and enhance data center infrastructures.
