Unknown Top-5 US Cable Operator Expanded Concurrent’s Video Storage Solution

Deploying Aquari scale-out storage solution with purchase of over petabyte of additional storage

Concurrent Computer Corporation, in software-defined storage solutions, announced that a top five US cable operator customer has expanded deployment of its Aquari scale-out storage solution with a purchase of over a petabyte of additional storage, split between two Aquari clusters, which are installed in sites in Arizona and Georgia.

From these two locations, the cable operator will be better positioned to manage business-critical video assets across multiple markets throughout the US. The operator is one of the largest broadband telecommunications providers in the US to store video assets related to its digital television, telecommunications and home automation services.

Concurrent’s storage solution is software-defined, which features massive scalability and simultaneous support for multiple file or object-based workloads. Unlike traditional storage alternatives, Aquari can scale performance and capacity independently, which translates to improved flexibility and a reduced TCO.

With the modern media ecosystem, increasingly reliant upon their digital resources and workflows, there is an ever-increasing need for storage and management of these assets that is simple to deploy, faster to integrate and effortless to scale,” said Clay McCreery, SVP, WW sales and service, Concurrent.  “By expanding their storage with Aquari open-scale systems, we can help leading service providers ensure consistent, high-quality experiences to better control brand value.  They now have the performance and availability they want today with the capacity they need in the future.
