IBM Spectrum Control V5.2.13 and IBM Virtual Storage Center V5.2.13

This release delivers the following functions and enhancements
to IBM Spectrum Control products:

• Additional information and performance metrics on Dell EMC VMAX and EMX VNX devices
• Visibility of drives within IBM Cloud Object Storage Slicestor nodes
• Spectrum Scale file system to external pool correlation
• Additional information on the copy data panel about SAN Volume Controller (SVC) HyperSwap and vdisk mirror

Additional enhancements for IBM Spectrum Control Advanced Edition include:

• Improvements to the charge back report
• Spectrum Protect Snapshot V8.1 is included

This release of IBM Spectrum Control Standard and Advanced editions marks the beginning of an initiative to improve the information gathered from devices of vendors other than IBM. Spectrum Control will start to collect more data from the Dell EMC VMAX and VNX family of devices.

In addition, smaller enhancements and refinements have been made to various functions and representations of information or configurations of Cloud Object Storage, Spectrum Scale, and Spectrum Virtualize.

Virtual Storage Center, Virtual Storage Center for Storwize, and Virtual Storage Center Entry Edition
This release adds Spectrum Control Advanced Edition V5.2.13 capabilities to Virtual Storage Center.

Key prerequisites

• Virtual Storage Center and Virtual Storage Center Entry Edition require IBM SVC nodes or IBM Storwize storage systems.
• Virtual Storage Center for Storwize requires an IBM Storwize system.

Planned availability date: March 2, 2017 for electronic download. There is no physical media.
