Alongside existing Eternus storage systems

Veritas Technologies, LLC, in information management, announced an agreement with Fujitsu Ltd to sell its NetBackup Appliances.

The appliances will be offered alongside the existing Fujitsu ETERNUS range of hardware and provide end users a range of data protection solutions.

Used by tens of thousands of businesses, NetBackup software simplifies and strengthens data protection throughout the enterprise. NetBackup Appliances provides both flexibility and cost savings by combining turnkey backup and recovery with deduplication solutions in an easy-to-deploy form factor.

Michael Keegan, head of product business, Fujitsu EMEIA, said: “One of the pre-requisites for a successful transition to a digital business is to ensure that your valuable data is both accessible and protected. This is why a backup strategy is vital for companies of all sizes. We are extending the Fujitsu data protection portfolio, through the addition of the Veritas NetBackup Appliance. This effective, expandable system to protect valuable data is fast and simple to deploy and maintain.

NetBackup Appliance provides a wealth of capabilities for data protection across virtual, cloud and physical environments. The appliance range will offer enterprises cost-effective and data protection solutions.

Both NetBackup 5240 and NetBackup 5330 will help provide an easy-to-deploy and low cost backup and recovery solution for Fujitsu’s install base.
