Proact to Provide AEL in Finland With Storage Infrastructure

The Proact Group will provide AEL with storage infrastructure.

AEL is a provider of technical training in Finland.

"The continuing change of the operating environment and customer needs was in the background of the investment decision. Increasingly higher expectations of our training customers require technological solutions that have been developed to the maximum," says Development Manager Joxi Kaaja of AEL. "We provide more and more services to our customers via information systems and the network. Now they contain the learning environment, network materials, webinars, e-learning services and other simulations and games supporting the training, for example. We require 24/7 availability and high technical reliability from the systems."

AEL replaced its both its storage and backup system and its backup software at the same time. The solutions were the EMC VNX5300 multi-protocol hardware for storage, the EMC Networker for backup and the Data Domain 630 disk backup hardware to replace old tapes.

Support for the investment decision was acquired from the Proact EMC Solution Center. It is a demo centre specialising in storage and virtualisation. It is the only Finnish centre to receive the Top Signature Solution Center Partner 2010 award.
