XIOSS in Partnership With Dropbox for Business

XIOSS, Inc has entered into a partnership with Dropbox for Business, broadening its range of cloud storage and collaborative sharing features and information controls available to clients.

This affiliation is yet another venture by the company toward the assembly of a portfolio of partners. It furthers the business’ mission of existing for the sole purpose of helping clients protect, manage and store their data, one of their most valued assets.

Cipher encryption in transit and at rest is employed by Dropbox for Business, as well as file segmentation and hashing to anonymize stored data. The application undergoes regular audits and a SOC Type 2 report is available. Teams are able to secure accounts further with authentication features like single sign-on support and two-step verification.

More than 300,000 applications integrate the Dropbox cloud platform, says Ilya Fushman, the head of product for Dropbox. Clients are able to share with collaborators in Cisco WebEx meetings, edit Microsoft Office documents with CloudOn, and get PDFs approved with DocuSign. Dropbox for Business also gives team members self-service features such as unlimited deletion recovery and device unlinking. The service enables the syncing of files and folders across all devices.

“This partnership with Dropbox for Business will enable XIOSS clients to maintain greater control over their exponential growth of data by providing unlimited storage, meet their scalability needs, and provide a singular solution to file sharing,” Galyardt says.

The application also affords clients’ IT administrators audit logs to track sharing. Likewise, there are easy-to-execute controls to restrict access, while remote wipes secure data should a device become dislocated.

It coordinates with the vast majority of applications customers already utilize to be productive such as Word, Excel, Photoshop and Acrobat. It also supports Windows, Android, iOS, Mac, and Linux so that no employee is out of the information loop.
