Availability in Q3
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 23, 2014 at 2:54 pmAt the Cloud Computing Expo Japan, PROMISE Technology Inc. announced the Japanese launch of its cloud storage solution: FileCruiser.
It enables businesses and organizations to create their own private cloud storage service.
“We’re excited to launch FileCruiser and give Expo attendees a first-hand look at how PROMISE is developing solutions designed to meet the cloud and IT needs of Japanese businesses today – and into the future,” said James Lee, CEO, PROMISE. “Our broad portfolio of storage solutions enables users to expand their capabilities, whether they require a robust cloud infrastructure or innovative applications.“
The company has a long history in Japan, having been a supplier of storage components in the region – and worldwide – for years. It has transformed from a component designer and manufacturer to one of the developers of storage solutions for the cloud/IT, rich media and video surveillance industries. The debut of FileCruiser is the first step of its plan to introduce a lineup of cloud solutions that address the expanding storage needs for businesses and organizations.
It includes enterprise file synchronization and sharing features and a hardware platform tailored for a range of vertical markets, including education, healthcare, SMB and enterprise IT, governments and more. In addition to FileCruiser, the company featured a range of cloud solutions from IaaS to SaaS – including high-density 4U 70-bay and 1U 16-bay storage solutions. Later this year, it will expand its lineup of high-density storage offerings to include a family of object storage solutions, designed to provide optimal TCO and migration to the next generation of storage. The object storage solutions will offer nearly limitless scalability and will be optimized for vertical solutions.
FileCruiser is currently available in Taiwan and select APAC countries, and will be available in Japan starting in Q3 through the global network of distributors and VARs.
