Unitrends: Data Protection Software for Physical and Virtual Environments

Unitrends, Inc. unveiled the Unitrends Certified Recovery Suite (UCRS), a bundled software package for midmarket and larger companies.

Available through partner sales channels, it gives enterprises the flexibility to select the solutions set for their specific physical and virtual backup, archiving and DR needs-at a single price on par with what niche virtualization-only vendors are charging for virtual backup only.

The company allows organizations to take advantage of end-to-end protection at cost-to-value ratio, as well as customer support with automated proactive monitoring. It establishes a benchmark for application-level certified recovery with vSphere, Microsoft Citrix Hyper-V, XenServer, and more than 100 versions of servers, storage, OSs, and applications. Customers can leverage any or all of the features afforded by the software to achieve the integrated solutions mix for their organization.

UCRS comprises the following:

Unitrends Enterprise Backup for physical, virtual, and cloud data protection (including the company’s patent-pending meta-bare metal recovery for Cisco UCS).
Unitrends Virtual Backup (formerly PHD Virtual Backup) for vSphere, Hyper-V, and Xenserver protection.
ReliableDR for hypervisor-, array-, and backup-level vSphere replication automation, orchestration, continuous testing, and DR.
